Yocum Hall is home to approximately 500 co-ed students. Built in 1963, Yocum is located next door to Humphreys Hall and the Business Administration Building. It is one of the tallest buildings on campus and features a large T.V. Lounge, computer lab and game room.
Yocum was remodeled in the summer of 2000, which included new amenities such as freshly carpeted hallways, new lighting, in-room dual10Mbit Ethernet connections, new state-of-the-art fire alarm system, and new furniture. Room Dimensions are typically 9'-8" (W) x 14'-0" (L).
Yocum Hall is often known campus wide as the residence hall with the most active and productive students. Student activities include Penny Wars, Sky Diving, Inter-mural sports, canoe trips, paintball excursions, water wars, art gala, Pig Out (free BBQ), Coffee House (in conjunction with RIC), Food for Finals, and many other fun events! Yocum Hall has a strong tradition of being active in student government organizations such as Residents Inter-Hall Congress, Associated Student Government, Yocum Hall Activities Group, and of course, Yocum Hall Senate.
