01/19 Holiday
*******
Remember that this policy does NOT apply to either the midterm
or final exam.
When you take an in-class test, I will grade it and return it to
you promptly. You will find, however, a distinct lack of the comments I
usually make on homework. It is your mission
to use whatever resources you like to determine why points were
deducted, and correct any errors to regain a portion of those missed
points. You may work together, with me, with a tutor, with friends,
family, roommates, bosses, significant others, and most certainly with your
book open! After a few days, I will ask you to resubmit the original
test, UNALTERED (if alterations of any kind are made, this offer is null and
void), with your
new and improved solutions on separate paper. I will examine
the new solutions, and
if they are correct, then one-fifth of the points
missed will be restored to your test score.
If a problem is not correct, then no points will be
restored.
Notice that it pays to get it right the first time!
* Ask anybody* New work on separate paper * Original unaltered
* All or nothing *
