About the Team

The University of Arkansas Water Ski Team is an active competitive three-event water ski team. Our main focus of the club are the 3 realms of competitive waterskiing; Slalom, Jump, and Trick. We operate under the University of Arkansas Intramural Sports Department as a sport club. Membership is open to any student within the university. We compete in three tournaments a semester in the South Central Conference of the National Collegiate Water Ski Association.  The South Central Conference is made up of college teams from across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.

Our team is comprised of about 15-20 members of all ability levels that are brought together by out love and enthusiasm for water skiing. There are no try-outs or pre-requisite skill levels necessary, just a love of the water.  The top 5 men and women in each event comprise our "A Team", the remaining skiers in each event are our "B Team".  We take both teams to every tournament and both groups have the opportunity to compete. There are no set practice dates, you can practice as much or little as you desire. Our practices are held at a private ski lake in Durham, Arkansas; which is about 20 minutes from campus.
