White Rock
White Rock is a high spot in the middle of nowhere. It's about 16 miles by dirt roads from Hwy 71, Hwy 23 and Hwy 16. In winter 2001-2, I drove out and took a few photos. I was surprised to see how devastated the forests were by an insect that infects the oak trees. From the parking circle, a short trail drops down to an overlook with a stone wall forming an arc along a bluff. This wall has markings pointing to a few places along with the distance to the place. I went again by motorcycle this spring and noticed even more damage than before.
