I am interested in investigating the influence of natural and anthropogenic factors on flood plain dynamics.  My current research interests lie in paleo-flood reconstruction from the Lower White River, Arkansas. I use oxbow lake sediments as potential archives for flooding events. I am using diatom assemblage along with lake chemistry and sediment geochemistry for identifying past flood events from the sediment cores.  poster
