The Earth Visualization Laboratory (EVL) is a state-of-the-art geophysical data processing and Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping facility developed with research funds by Dr. Stephen K. Boss within the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA.

Presently, the facility is equipped with

Worden gravimeter
two Trimble Pro-XRS GPS receivers,
acoustic profiling equipment for detailed echo sounding surveys of lakes, rivers, and coastal environments,
three Dell Optiplex computers
one Gateway 2000 computer dedicated to processing high-resolution seismic reflection data,
Texas Instruments laptop computer for field data collection
Hewlett-Packard HP 455CA Design Jet Plotter
Hydrolab Datasonde 4a water quality profiler
Titan CIII Commando Remotely Operated Vehicle

Mapping software used to create Earth mapping products:

MapInfo
Vertical Mapper and Virtual Frontier (both from Northwood Geosciences, Ltd.)
ArcView
assorted image processing programs
