WRITING ASSIGNMENT #10 - MARS AND EARTH
This week's assignment continues with our philosophical exploration of the planets by considering the our nearest planetary neighbor, Mars. Over the past few years, our knowledge of Mars and the processes that have shaped its evolution has increased exponentially. There is a wealth of information about Mars on the Internet, and I want you all to spend some time reading the available literature to familiarize yourself with the latest ideas flowing about the "Red Planet". Once you feel you have become sufficiently knowledgable, I want you to write an essay regarding your thoughts on proposed "terraforming" to make a Mars more habitable place.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT FOR THIS WEEK:
You have read some papers dealing with the legitimate proposal to "terraform" Mars. Express your feelings about this possibility in an essay. There is no length limit to this essay, though I would like for it to be in the range of two pages or so.
