EARTH SYSTEM SCIENCE

INTERNET EXERCISE #3 - DYNAMIC EARTH

Finally, we are ready to begin our exploration of Earth. This week, we will investigate a number of web sites which regularly update information related to the dynamics of the solid Earth (sometimes referred to as the Lithosphere). Of course, the dynamic processes which are being monitored by a great many government and academic research sites are largely the products of Plate Tectonic activity around the world. Your task this week is to familiarize yourself with the types of observations being made and the manner in which these observations are being documented.

As will always be the case, I want you to have fun as you learn about our dynamic planet and those mad-cap scientists who study it!
