Vacation last year ('00), in Palo Duro Canyon, South of Amarillo, Texas. The canyon is 100 miles long and abounds with wildlife.

A replica log cabin in Palo Duro Canyon There aren't many amenities, but there is running water in the creek. From left, my kid sister, Pat, my kids, Emily, Leilani, Johnathan.
A "replica" cabin in the canyon
My Sister is a stubborn old bat. She just refuses to look where I point. And I find the important stuff too. My Sister, Pat and I looking (in opposite directions) at a scene in the Canyon

A scene from the archives of the Canyon, from a bluff with a large Cedar tree on the left This picture is from the archives of the web site of the state park. It just had to be included. See some more if you like. www.palodurocanyon.com
