As we ease into the millennium, it seems appropriate to shed some light on the origin, objectives and intent of One Whirled View.
One Whirled View began around a kitchen table as two bewildered and bemused individuals tried to make sense of life's challenges in what appeared to be an increasingly confusing, fearful world. Refuge from the seriousness was sought in flippancy. Simple complexity gave rise to complex simplicity. Somehow there arrived the following, what one might call conclusions. The word suggests finality but the process continues. What follows applies only to the present understanding, is subject to change and definitely should be questioned.
We are connected to everything we view in the world. Some teachings suggest that all life is connected. This is sometimes hard to see. Instead we can play with the notion that all we observe, see, view is a part of us. What if the world is there to reflect ourselves back to us, to get our attention? What if all the people and situations we daily confront are to show us what we need to make conscious in ourselves? Life might then be our teacher.
This is only One Whirled View not the One and only Whirled View. There are over six billion World Views. If one could encompass them all, one might begin to approach the mind of God, the Universal Consciousness, the Vast Nothing, the All, or the Cosmic "Whatever" (as so expressed by many young people). Some just call it Love.
The word wisdom derives from ancient words literally meaning "the domain or realm of seeing." In wisdom, are we the ruler or lord over what we see? Does this suggest there is great power in what we see?
Knowledge is power, some say. But knowledge is not the same as wisdom. We can possess great knowledge but not be able to see. Yet wisdom can come through knowledge. Guess it's how you see it. One Whirled View presents knowledge. The viewer is responsible for any wisdom.
Denial is saying no to what we don't want to see. Denial avoids seeing. Denial can be the result of belief, a word related to beloved, that which we love.
Apocalypse literally means "removal of the veil." A veil blocks our ability to see. Denial is a veil we choose to prevent us from seeing. The Apocalypse may bring the forced removal of our denial. We shall see.
Our greatest power is the power to choose. It is our seemingly inconsequential choices that have so much impact on our world. What we choose helps create reality on our planet. We should choose with wisdom.
Much time, effort, money and energy are directed to compelling us to choose this way or that. Corporations, public relations firms, religions, tyrants of all stripes, politicians or any others cannot rule us unless we choose to allow them. Not voting or not choosing is a choice. Such a choice relinquishes our power. We are not victims. We are where we are by choice and we can choose for things to be otherwise.
Quantum physics suggests that we can affect matter by observation which is seeing. It is said that energy underlies all physical form. Therefore, all things are connected by a web of energy. Thoughts are energy. Can what we think affect reality? Are we all creating together? Is what we think directly connected to what is? Have we the power to change reality by changing the way we think?
Our thoughts are based on what we know and what we see. There are those who would like to control what we think. This can be done by giving us too little or too much information. This is done to control what we choose. Beware of any who would limit your choices.
One Whirled View attempts to offer information that allows and encourages others to think for themselves. It is a partial reflection of what the world seems to be asking for attention. It has come to our attention that we really know nothing. Many more questions are raised than answered as we only try to see. From seeing we may gain wisdom. From wisdom all can be changed.
Einstein said imagination is more important than knowledge. John Lennon said "imagine." Imagination is what we see in our mind's eye. One Whirled View wants the imagination to run wild. To imagine is to think and see, thereby helping create new realities. We have been creating our world together all along, mostly unconsciously. Is this the world we really want? If not, we can change it. Itıs our choice. Choose wisely!
