Lise Blevins (Inman)

Lise was my best friend from 3rd grade through 6th grade in Miami, Oklahoma. She was the first person I met when we moved there. She's now a successful business woman and owns a restaurant with her husband, Tim, in Tulsa, Oklahoma (The Stonehorse Cafe and Market - and the food is INCREDIBLE...a FIVE STAR quality restaurant at ONE STAR prices...)

I had the opportunity to see Lise last summer and catch up with her. She hasn't changed much - still just as sweet and beautiful as she always was. Her friendship with me made my elementary years worth remembering....

Shelli Craig

Shelli came along in 4th grade, and was soon one of the most popular girls in school. Lise and I hung out with Shelli all the time - going to the movies on Friday nights and spending the night with her. Shelli was 'cool' to us ... and really taught us a lot about boys, friendship, and many other things....

A few years ago, I decided to get back in touch with Shelli, but wasn't able to find her phone number or her parents names. Daniel Fowler, a former classmate of mine from Miami, did a website for MHS Class of 1983. Through the channels he provided, I found out that Shelli died in 1992.

So, if there's an old friend you've been thinking about getting in touch with, don't put it off. There were plenty of moments for me to have contacted Shelli, but I procrastinated. That's one of my regrets to this day.
