And there is wind today
hot sun
green grass
water in the pond
blue hung over me like a canopy
a tree you planted
a flower left behind
small notes in the nooks and crannies
that I keep finding
No, there is not hate
Only love
and grief.
oh, grief
heavy, like an anvil
in my brain
in my heart
and still -
I feel the wind on my face
and the hot sun
- the green grass on my bare feet
- watch the fish in the pond
- stand under the blue of the sky
- beside the tree you planted
- smelling the flower
left behind
reading the small notes I keep finding
and
I
am
grateful.
