Graduate
students. Research opportunities include microplate
tectonics in the northeastern Caribbean, geodynamics of the Lesser Antilles
arc, strain-partitioning along obliquely convergent margins, sector collapse
of volcanic edifices, and seismic hazard in the New Madrid Seismic Zone.
Techniques include GPS geodesy, remote sensing (multispectral, SAR, LIDAR),
and field work. Some research assistantships are available (NSF and NASA
funding). |
