Stressful Life Events and Alcohol Use Study:
Primary Researcher: Sarah Bujarski, M.A.

This study, funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) is designed to help understand ways to improve treatments for men and women who drink alcohol and may be experiencing difficulties following a stressful life event. We are looking for adults (age 21 and over) who have experienced a stressful life event and who currently drink alcohol. This study involves two visits to the laboratory. The first visit will include completing two interviews with a researcher and completing questionnaires. This visit will take approximately 3 hours. Individuals who are eligible to participate in the second visit will complete a guided imagery task and listen to a presentation on a health-related topic. The second visit will take approximately 2 hours to complete. Individuals will be compensated $10 for completing the first visit, and will be paid an additional $30 for completing the second visit, for a total of $40 for eligible participants. If you are interested in participating or learning more about this study, please contact Sarah Bujarski at (479) 575-5811 or sbujarsk@uark.edu

Unwanted Sexual Experiences Study:
Primary Researcher: Christal L. Badour, M.A.

This study, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), is designed to help us understand ways of improving treatments for women who may be having difficulties following unwanted sexual experiences including those involving sexual abuse and assault. We are looking for adult women with a history of unwanted sexual experiences to participate in this 2-part research study. Part 1 involves completing a series of background questionnaires. Part 2 involves one 4-hour visit to the laboratory in which they will complete an interview, a number of additional questionnaires, and two guided imagery tasks. Participants will be compensated $40 for completing both parts of this study. If you are interested in participating or learning more about this study please contact Christal Badour at (479) 575-5811 or cbadour@uark.edu.
