2004
This is the 2004 edition of the WOVO Directory. Member observatories are listed in geographic order, following the numbering scheme of the Catalogue of Active Volcanoes of the World, and of Simkin and Siebert (1994) Volcanoes of the World. The numbering scheme is shown in more detail at http://www.volcano.si.edu/.
Previous editions of the WOVO Directory have been in print and on the Web. In light of rapidly improving internet access in nearly all countries of the world, this edition will be "Web-only."
As with any directory, information changes. This directory contains the latest information we have from each observatory. Each entry shows the date of latest update or correction. Any user noticing an error should please send the correction to: wovo@ess.washington.edu.
We will try to keep this information
current but we cannot guarantee accuracy or currency. Any user that might need
to contact a member observatory under emergency circumstances should confirm
the contact information independently.
