"O" Diva's world

hope

Too many times Christians have gone through trials and looked for something profound to help them cope. What they don't realize is sometimes, less is better. The most simplest of a prayer could change a whole situation. Below are three simple prayers that not only give strength, but give confidence. Confidence in the creator, the great "Iam" who gave the bible to us, his children to help us in times of trials and tribulation. Just beleive and Ye shall receive!

THE PRAYER OF JABEZ
“Oh, that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.”
I Chronicles 4:10

When I first read it, I did not understand why it was so popular. Most people are strongly affected by this prayer. It took months before I finally saw and understood the powerful meaning behind the words. The bible says we have not because we ask not. By seeking God in times of need we show him that we trust in him and that our life is in his hands. In prayer and meditation dwell in him, he will grant us our wishes. God loves us. He created us, and wants to help and protect us.I have learned that things may not go as we plan, but they work according to Gods perfect purpose and holy will.

The Lord is My Shepard

The Lord is my shepard, I shall not want, he maketh me to lie down in green pastures, he leadeth me beside the still waters, he restoreth my soul. Yea, though I walk through the valley of shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff they do comfort me. He prepareth a table before me in the presence of my enemies. He anoiteth my head with oil,my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever amen.

What a wonderful prayer. It is designed to hedge in time of pain. A barrier to protect from all the wolves in sheep's clothing that we encounter in this world. Iam truly blessed. God has really loved me. He has been a faithful friend and father. He has loved me even in times when I did not love myself. He has taken care of me time and time again. He has been my physician when sickness lingered near. He has been my wings when I needed to soar. I was once told that when the praises go up the blessings come down. I believe. He has never let me fall, he has protected, provided and supplied all my needs. He is faithful, daily his mercies are replenished.

For so many people who have needed a word of encouragement and a helping hand. For those who have needed an angel to kiss away their pain. For those who have longed for someone to love them simply for them and not take into acount their faults. For those who have strived to do what is right only to fair misserably. For those who God has shown that his grace is sufficient, this page is for you.
