Lambda Chi Alpha Rush 2005
Not Four Years, For Life
All Lambda Chi Alpha has to offer is brotherhood. On the first day of association, not pledging, your lifelong journey has begun. The four years at the University of Arkansas spent as a Lambda Chi will cultivate lifelong friendships, promote personal growth, and solidify self-discipline. Social skills will be learned—leadership is expected. Indeed, fun will be had. All these are for life.
There is no other experience like the brotherhood that Lambda Chi Alpha has to offer. Our Rush Chairmen, Patrick Bowen and Stephen Koehler invite you to call them for any information regarding Lambda Chi Alpha, fraternity life, or our personal experiences.

No Hazing Policy
Lambda Chi Alpha holds the open motto “ Vir Quisque Vir ,” which means “Every Man A Man.” Every member is treated with the dignity he deserves as a brother. This does not allow for discrimination against new members. Strictly speaking “No new member will be asked to do something that a real man cannot or should not do.”
Since the 70's, Lambda Chi Alpha has been leading the anti-hazing movement across the country. As “Associate Members” of our fraternity, not “Pledges,” new members have every right of membership barring only our secrets. Associate member education is conducted by “Big Brothers” and the High Kappa (Fraternity Educator) in a positive and creative way that unites the whole chapter, rather than dividing it into classes.
No Bad Habits
Lambda Chi Alpha has a rich tradition at the University of Arkansas dating back to 1923. Recolonized in the fall of 2002 after a brief stint off campus, Lambda Chi is back and stronger than ever. As a chapter, we recognize that a fraternity is a fragile thing. We know that hazing and drug use are poisons that will lead to a chapter's eventual demise. We do not tolerate our members abusing themselves and our reputation.
Instead, Lambda Chi Alpha focuses upon character formation through the ideals found in our ritual. Our symbol is “The Cross and the Crescent.” We strive to live by our creed which says: “The Crescent is our symbol pure, high, and ever-growing. The Cross is our guide denoting service and sacrifice before the world…”
