I call your attention to this article, because its written from a non-commercial perspective, and I recently (in May/June of 2008) spent a good bit of time studying how the insurance products that a nonprofit might consider purchasing work, and why they have become necessary. In the old days, "charitable immunity" protected nonprofits from insurance risks. Now, it's a bit more complicated. |
