Our two negotiations teams were in Dallas at SMU this weekend to compete in
the Southwest Regional Negotiations Competition.  Our teams placed 1st
(Daniel Mallory - Gina Smith) and 5th (Courtney Dawson - Janea Gibbs) out of 20
teams.  Mallory-Smith will now have an opportunity to compete in Nationals
in Los Angeles later this year.

Dawson-Gibbs missed making the top four and moving to the final round of
competition by less than one-half point. The rankings from the first and
the final round were Arkansas, SMU, South Texas and Tulsa.

Mallory-Smith competed against SMU (#2 overall) and Washburn in the first
round and South Texas (#3 overall) in the finals.  Dawson-Gibbs was matched
against St.Mary's and SMU in the first round.  I
