HISTORY

The Zeta Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority was founded at the University of Arkansas campus on February 4th-6th, 1989.

In spite of the snow and ice, 65 girls attained the honor of becoming new KD pledges. After a very innovative semester, Zeta Gamma was installed on April 30, 1989. The new initiates had the honor of being initiated by Kappa Delta's National Council. In 1989-1990, her first full year on campus, Zeta Gamma called Buchanan Droke her home. During this year, Zeta Gamma did many new things and started many traditions.

1990 was the year Zeta Gamma participated in her first Shamrock Project. In 1990-1991, Zeta Gamma's were forced to live separately while their new home was under renovation. This year showed the strength of her sisterhood, because everyone was not able to live under one roof, yet all were together in heart and spirit. In August of 1991, Zeta Gamma finally moved into her new home at 404 West Maple.

Zeta Gamma dedicated her new home on October 26, 1991. Over the years, Zeta Gamma has continued building strength in the bonds of sisterhood.
