Through Deer and on to Highway 7 I could tell there was something interesting going on in the east where first light was glowing, but I wasn't having much luck seeing through the trees and even less luck finding a place with a good view of it all so that I could pull over and take it in. So I hurried south on 7 looking for an opening somewhere, and finally after several anxious miles found a good spot and spent some time shooting one of the niftiest sunrises I've ever seen. I enjoyed the show, but I'm afraid Connor wasn't all that thrilled at being cooped up in the car while I was going snap happy.

We had a pretty good ramble later on, though; so in the end I guess we both ended up satisfied.
