The Richland Creek Wilderness Area is one of the most scenic places in the Ozarks, but to get to the trail along Richland Creek you have to cross Falling Water Creek, or as I like to call it, Fall-in-Water Creek. If you try to make a dry crossing by hopping across on the rocks that are almost close enough together, you will more than likely fall in, as I have done on a number of occasions. These days I just put on my wading sandals and wade across.
