light writing
At its most fundamental level, a photograph consists of a pattern of
light and dark, and part of the fun and challenge of photography is to
find interesting patterns. Water seeping out of a stone bank on Falling
Water Creek formed the basis of this pattern.
This spot is very near the bluff that Darby and I almost fell off of.
We managed to find ourselves sliding down a steep little
slickrock chute and were finally able to stop just at the edge
of the bluff. We then resolved to make our hikes more nearly horizontal from
then on.
