SAE Info Sponsoring the Team SAE Info

TheWPI FSAE team is dependent on outside sponsorship. The WPI Formula SAE solicits donations in the form of services, materials, and cash from individuals, area businesses, and large corporations. Without the help of our generous sponsors, the opportunity to participate in Formula SAE would not exist. Every contribution to the WPI FSAE team is tax deductible.

Students who participate in this project have the chance to apply theory learned in the classroom to a real and exciting engineering project. The Formula SAE Competition is very well rounded, as team members must design, build, and race a high performance car on time, at the lowest possible cost. As well as the engineering work, the team is also responsible for the financing and public relations. This type of industry-like setting helps give students the knowledge and experience they need to become successful leader's of tomorrow's work force. Participation in an international competition of this caliber brings recognition to WPI and indirectly to the community. Many schools use these and other similar design competitions as recruiting tools to bring in top students.
