Element Rotation (

The element rotation 
of a beam element indicates the amount that each
section of the element has rotated at it's centroidal axis,
from the non-loaded (horizontal) position. An FEM solution will
only give us a value for the rotation at the nodes and there will
be a Continuous variation in
the rotation through the element length (L), i.e., between the
nodes.
