Finite Element Method universal resource

Goals of FEMur

FEMur website is being established to serve the user community of the Finite Element Method. It will provide resources for educators, students, researchers, and practicing engineers.

Knowledge is of little use if it is little shared. The fundamental goal of FEMur is to make information on the finite element method (FEM) readily and comprehensively available. To this end, instructional, interactive learning guides are being developed and finite element resources on the Internet are being found and cataloged.

The objectives to maintain this website are:

  1. Development of educational resources in electronic form which can be used by educators to introduce basic and advanced concepts of Finite Element Method in the classroom.
  2. Information regarding current state-of-the-art in Finite Element technology.
  3. Practice oriented information regarding the usefullness of FEM for engineers.
  4. Finite element textbooks and software information.
  5. A forum for solution accuracy in FEM.
  6. Serve as a link to other available Finite Element resources on the Internet.
  7. Promote the use of multimedia technology in the development of Finite Element resources and information content.

The site is under construction and it is presently located at WPI. Voluntary contribution are highly welcomed to complete different parts of this site. please send any suggestion and additional infortmation to the development group.
