Jing Yang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas. Prior to joining UArk in August 2012, she was a research associate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She obtained her PhD degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2010, and B.S. in Electronic Engineering and Information Science from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2004.


Her current research interests include statistical signal processing, wireless communications and networking, statistical learning, and information theory. Her research has been supported by grants from NSF and Arkansas Biosciences Institute (ABI). She received an NSF CAREER award in 2015.



One Post-doctoral Research Associate position and multiple Graduate Research Assistant positions are available in the areas of statistical learning, communications and networking, and machine learning.
