Dr. Jia Di was born in Beijing, China. He finished his B.S. and M.S. studies in Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1997 and 2000, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree from Electrical and Computer Engineering department of the University of Central Florida, Orlando. He joined the Computer Science and Computer Engineering Department of the University of Arkansas as an Assistant Professor in August 2004 and is currently an Associate Professor.

Dr. Jia Di is married to Yan Huo. Their first baby girl, Karen, was born on October 20th, 2004.
