I
live in Jakarta, the capital
city, which lies on the northwest coast of Java, one of
the many islands in Indonesia (there are over 17,000!).
The islands stretch along the equator and we have warm climate
all year round. One of the things I miss is Indonesian food,
which is mostly quite spicy, depending on what region of
the country it’s from. My favorite is ‘gado-gado’
(vegetable salad) and ‘pempek’ (egg & fish
dish with spicy vinegar sauce) |
