Favorite Food:

One of the national dishes I like a lot is called Chak-Chak, a Kazakh dessert made of fried pieces of dough mixed with honey, raisins, and walnuts. Some other dishes I enjoy cooking are Kazakh dumplings, plov, manty, and beshbarmak.

Favorite Holiday:



My favorite holiday is Nauryz, a Kazakh New Year that we celebrate on March 22. When the holiday comes, Kazaks would put on festive clothes, pay visits to each other, exchange congratulations, best wishes of well-being and good luck in the coming year. Traditionally, people set up Kazakh transportable houses called “yurts”, cook traditional dishes, play national games, organize horse-races, and have cultural performances.Favorite Holiday:

My Hobbies:

My friends and I like to be outside a lot, and spend our time hiking, camping, climbing mountains, horseback riding, playing volleyball, or just walking in a park. I also enjoy reading, making crafts, painting, dancing, and listening to music.
