Well, it's been a year since the
glorious days of Woodland Junior High basketball. One year has passed since
Jacob Porter struck fear into the hearts of opponets when he patrolled
the lane, one year has passed since Farzad Farzan destroyed teams with
his long range bombs, one year has passed since Coach McGuire inspired
the team using the emotions of love and fear.
From the legions of followers of
the original WJHS basketball home page (including former President Jimmy
Carter, WJHS librarian Lola Baughman, and Taco Casa chef Ricardo Gomez)
has come a call, where are the members of "the team" now? Well,
I have created this page to answer that question. Enjoy.

- Coach
Adams- Coach Adams has apparently managed to move past the emotional
roller-coaster season of 1996-1997. He remains the head coach at WJHS while
amazingly handling the time-consuming job of P.E. teacher as well.
- Aaron
Lacy- Aaron, just as lanky as ever, is still going out with Hanson
devotee Areta Hill and has reportedly never been seen without her and with
a smile on his face at the same time. Aaron also has an active streak of
over 375 consecutive school days of bringing his own lunch to school.
- Jacob Porter- Jacob,
son of a pharmaceutical conglomerate decided to follow in his brother's
footstep in deciding that Fayetteville, Arkansas was too small for him
to get the recruiting he wanted, he transferred to nearby metropolis Farmington
to play basketball. His humor is sorely missed at Fayetteville High (his
wild smile is seen in the team picture).
- Daniel Rew-
Daniel has traded in his classy Reeboks for a pair of jogging shoes. Daniel
joined the Fayetteville High cross country team and recently finished a
sparkling 29th in the state.
- Cody Clark-
Cody also switched sports, becoming back-up and heir apparent quaterback
at AAAA-West runner-up Fayetteville High. He backs up his older, and less
talented brother Zachary. Cody is "together" with the lovely
and talented Kendall Smith, a piece of Ramay scum.
- Richard Cole-
Richard, over the offseason, made a tremendous house move across the street.
He has become infamous for illegally transporting passengers in his car
on his hardship license.
- David Hogue-
David quickly became a key member of the Fayetteville football team until
tearing his rotator cuff, does anyone actually know what a rotator cuff
is? Does rotator cuff at all sound like a body part?
- Will
Higginbothom- Will became convienent for once when he was the first
team member to turn 16 and receive his driver's license. He is often seen
cruising in his sleek, black, 1990 Mazda 626. Will also has a new girlfriend,
Lori Dunn, also Ramay scum. Rumor has it, Bicky Higginbothom is unhappy
with this relationship and plans to eliminate the lovely and talented Lori.
- Coach McGuire-
Coach McGuire is still at work at Woodland, torturing players with line
drills. Rumor has it McGuire is in training to become a bus driver and
attempt to steal Martin Post's job.
- Justin Paslay-
Justin is one of the 3 players who continued basketball at Fayetteville
High. He enjoys hanging out with young men named Forest and Flowers when
not training young Drew Paslay in the art of perfection.
- Jeff Turpin-
What can you say about Jeff Turpin? He drives a Falcon, and his last name
rhymes with Burpin'.
- Aaron
Tinnin- Aaron
continues to work hard. He has the world's largest collection of movie
tickets in his wallet and is fast becoming fluent in Spanish.
- Ted Serafini-
Ted's fame continues to grow, as does his head. He is also continuing to
play basketball at Fayetteville High. He became when he pulled a Leon Lett,
inercepting a pass and returing it to the 5 before fumbling. But we still
love Ted, he won the dance contest at FHS thanks to his smooth style.
- Jay
Felker- Jay mysteriously developed a passion for Hanson and moved to
Tulsa to be near them. He believes, "I will come to you" was
written especially for him, he's a disturbed young man.
- Ryan
Edmonson- Ryan, who broke Matt Morris's nose last year broke his foot
in a football game this year. Hopefully under the influence of a strong
painkiller, he got his ear pierced. Because of his liking for unnecessary
holes in his body, he is not allowed to speak to any other players on the
team, he spends his team with "the fajita king" John Montes.
- Tyler
Wheeler- Tyler is another one of the players who quit basketball and
continued football. He entered the year neither bigger or stronger unfortanetly.
And has anyone noticed his name is rather like Tire Wheel, just wondering.
- Jeff
Bednar- Jeff, forever plagued by an inablity to display his true skills
at quaterback, moved to Idaho where he plays basketball by day and farms
potatoes by night. And yes, just like Fayetteville, all the girls in Idaho
think he's fine.
- Will Collier-
Will is the third player still playing basketball in Fayetteville. He enjoys
bowling, racquetball, and coin collecting in his spare time.
- Matt Morris-
If you had to look at Matt and guess which sport he player, you would probably
guess hockey with his broken nose and all, but you'd be wrong. Matt plays
golf, and by the way why do they call it the Skins Game, it's not like
the winner gets a big pile of possum skins, although that would add a special
spark to the awards ceremony.
- Andrew
Brill- What can be said about the man who lives in a solar powered
house.
- Farzad Farzan-
Farzad has begun an unusually affectionate relationship with the intelligent
Andrew Rostenberg for unknown reasons. Farzad is in training for his 2001
run at the Winter X-Games. He looks pretty good in ski goggles.
By the way, I had some complaints
about my making fun of the girls team last year on my other page. Well,
I'm sorry but this is a guy's page, if it was a girl's page, we wouldn't
make fun of Hanson.
Well, that's it. From time to time,
this page will be updated with new info about the players and coaches.
This page was last updated on November 26, 1997.
This page was created and is maintained by Andrew
Brill, comments and questions may be sent to this
address. He thanks you for you time.
