RSS
RSS is an XML-based format that allows the syndication of lists of hyperlinks, along with other information, or metadata , that helps viewers decide whether they want to follow the link. (MNOT)
Feeds (channels) are made available and can be managed by an aggregator (a program that manages a number of lists to present them in a single interface).

Display News Feeds
There are a number of ways to display news feeds. Below are a few that I find to be easy to use as well as attractive:
- SpringWidgets
This web-based application allows you to easily create and modify a widget to display one or more feeds. The SpringWidgets RSS interface looks sleek and attractive. It also allows others to grab your widget to place on their own sites. - Feed2JS
From Maricopa Community College, this application allows you to plug in a few bits of information to easily create and modify an rss feed. - gAjax RSS Feeds Displayer
This one is a little more complicted, using a javascript file and Google's Ajax Feed API, but the instructions on DynamicDrive will get you through the process with ease.
