SEARCH ENGINES |
|
| Perhaps one of the best. It's one of my favorites. Be sure
to use quotes, "", and the "site:" command to narrow
searches. e.g.: SEARCH: site:com "Silent Hill 2" Codes this will search all ".com" sites for the phrase "Silent Hill 2" and the word "Codes" |
|
| I know this used to power Yahoo, but it doesn't anymore and it serves as a good alternative to Yahoo. Another bonus, the commands above work with Google too. | |
GAMING SITES |
|
| The best site in the world for FAQs and Guides. The cover almost every platform in existance. | |
| The official site for GameShark v3, v4, and MediaPlayerCodes. | |
| This site used to host ActionReplay or GameSharkv2 Codes, but now they're just a general code site. | |
| The official site for ActionReplay, or GameSharkv2, for anyone who hasn't got v3+. | |
| Don't let the name mislead you. This is actually the official Code Breaker site. It was called that because it was started sometime after the N64 came out and the GS and CB were, in a lack of better words, exactly the same function-wise. | |
ELECBYTE |
The official page of the creators of the M.U.G.E.N. 2D custom fighting game, and NO don't ask what the acronym is for because I can't remember. You can get fighter from other sites, or if you're brave enough to make your own, and add them to make your own fighting game. I mixed DBZ, Mortal Kombat, Guilty Gear X, Street Fighter, Dark Stalkers, Pokemon (I said what the hell), & a few characters people made themselves. When it was all said and done I had over 400 characters, tons of music, sounds, and stages, and a DOS game that took up 3 GIGS of space on my hard drive. This site currently hosts a LINUX/UNIX version only. You'll have to search the internet for the old DOS version. Eventually they will have a Windows version out, but they have just now started working with Visual C++ coding so it might be a long while, they started in Fall 2001. [Side Note: DO NOT Print out the manuals and FAQs for the guide unless you REALLY intend to. It uses up about a reem, 500 pages, of paper and then you have to try and make heads and tales of the protocalls and codes just to make a character or even start a game. I only suggest you make your own game if you have some programming experience. Also if you ask me a question about this you will get a very complex answer, so have a good understanding about Allegro, the language M.U.G.E.N. for DOS was written under, and M.U.G.E.N.'s codes before asking. I only know DOS, not LINUX.] |
| The best place with links to character creators/extractors websites for M.U.G.E.N. The also have stages, screens, lifebars, and a few games that have already been built by someone else. | |
