The Sci-fi Channel: Good or Bad?
The Sci-fi Channel has what could best be desribed as an eclectic mix. On one hand,
you have great shows like Farscape , Stargate SG-1 ,the new Battlestar Galactica , and Doctor Who.
On the other hand, you also get a host of "Made for Sci-Fi" movies that look like
they were produced by first year film students with cheap equipment and a drunk editor
that wasn't paying the slightest bit of attention to quality.
I cannot explain this strange concoction very well, but if you have TIVO (or some other DVR unit)
give it a try. When you start the sifting process you will find some excellent shows to fill your
TV viewing time and some not so great shows that can be recommended to Mystery Science Theater 3000
for appropriate skewering at some future point.
