1961 - Mum's father dies

Mum’s father died. He was the last of
my grandparents to go. One generation
let go and another took over. The third
generation thought it was nothing to do with them.
I
often wonder why Mum had so many pictures of grandfather’s funeral flowers in
her album. Whether it was a way of
saying goodbye, her grieving, nervousness at the new graveside, or simply that
she loved the flowers. But then I have
a vague memory that I took these pictures, and the mystery thickens.
