Welcome to my homepage. I am a developmental psychologist interested in language and cognitive development in young children. The two major lines of research currently ongoing in my lab are (1) studies of 2- to 4-year-old children's word learning, specifically how word learning differs from (or is similar to) other forms of early learning and (2) studies of 1- and 2-year old children's understanding of the intentions of others, and how the language that others use can inform toddlers about intentions. I also teach courses in developmental psychology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, I teach the language and linguistics section of the interdisciplinary Cognitive Science course during the fall semester. For course information, go to my teaching page.
