Extra Credit ProjectsI always encourage students to do everything that helps them better understand physics. For many, it is just plain study hard, work lots of problems and play hard in the lab. For some, on the other hand, it helps to do extra work out in the real world. Extra credit projects evolve from class discussion and from student’s interests. I mention in class from time to time ideas the might lead to credit projects, and invite anyone interested in working on one to come up to the Student Union and talk to me about it. Some of these discussions lead to wonderful investigations. I had four extra credit projects submitted last summer. Summer 05Summer 06(a) I think Seth Martin is going to do something on geophysics
