BASH Turnout Great

Current and prospective members of Collieiate FFA & 4-h alike joined together for volleyball, horseshoes, relays, and free food. The organization's Back-to-School BASH was help on August 28th at Agri Park. A crowd of about fifty gathered to share their summer experiences and welocme both the new school year and the new students in the Dale bumpers College of Agricultral, Food and Life Sciences.

"I was very impressed with the turnout. I feel that most had a good time - I sure did. I am really excited about the freshmen that have shown an interest in the club," said Nick Coston, Treasurer.

The year opener provided a relazed atmosphere for new members to meet each other and the current members, as well as for current members to see others they may not have seen over the summer.

From the President

First off, I would like to welcome the new students, both freshmen and transfer students to the colle and to Collegiate FFA & 4-H. I would also like to welcom Dr. Herring, the new department heaf for Agricultural & Extension Education. Dr. Herring has already shwn an immense interest in the student. Thank you, Dr. Herring, for your interest. I look forward to working with you in the future.

There are many new things the officers and I are planning to implement within the organization this year, including a more team-like approach to activities, a point and reward system, new activities, and a spring break trip! We are really excited about many of these changes and hope you will like them too.

I encourage you to get involved at the beginning of this year and discover the many things that this club has to offer.
