I am an instructor in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville originally from the Caribbean island of Dominica. I consider myself an aquatic scientist with interest in biogeochemical cycles, sediment geochemistry, water pollution, harmful algal blooms, climate warming and paleoclimatology. My dissertation research focused on identifying the source and conditions responsible for episodic foul tasting drinking water, using reservoir sediment geochemistry and diatom species-environment relationships as archives for watershed land use change at the Beaver Reservoir in northwest Arkansas.
Funding for my research has been provided by the USGS, Beaver Water District, Sam Walton Doctoral Academy Fellowship.
