Involvement Opportunities

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with ABS. Sign up to cook a meal, lead a lesson, or evangelize the world. From mission trips to small acts of service, ABS has plenty of opportunities for you to make a difference.

Weekly Praise
Tuesdays @ 7:00pm

The Hedge

The ABS Praise Band is seeking new people to help fill out the old band, but better still to develop a second band to rotate Tuesday worship meetings to share the load.  Also there are always needs in setup and clean up crews.  Send us an email to find available spots.

Diakonos Crew are those quiet servants who prefer to help with their hands and feet.  They will be setting up tables and chairs before The Hedge or cleaning up trash and leftovers afterward.  We love these people because ABS cannot happen without them.  Talk to Brad or Warren to join the team.

Small Group Bible Studies

We are open to people wanting to lead, teach, or coordinate a small group.  Whether in the dorm, here at the center, or elsewhere on campus, small groups can be a crucial avenue toward Christian growth, and one that we want to help others do.

Warren Dugas (our fearless leader) is planning an international conversation / discussion group. Monday 7pm.  ALREADY STARTED

Women’s Small group is meeting on Friday nights at 7pm to study Life of Worship.  The co-leaders are Libby Harris and Amanda Barnes.  STARTS SEPT. 4

Warren is also planning a small group Bible study on Giving Back to the Faith, maturing from a childish faith.  Wednesday at 8pm.  STARTS SEPT. 2

Brad Harris and Warren Dugas are also available for 1+1 discussions.

Brad is also spearheading the ABS at NWACC Bible study which meets on Friday nights at 9pm in Temple Baptist Church of Rogers on the corner of New Hope and Dixieland.  ALREADY STARTED

Warren Dugas is teaching a Bible study class on Acts. Sunday 10am at Eastside Baptist Church in Fayetteville.

Brad is teaching a Bible study class from Mark’s Gospel, Sundays at 10am at East Kenwood Baptist Church of Siloam Springs.

Community service

Whether it is lending a hand through Habitat for Humanity or mentoring through Lifesource, we want to let our light shine.  Plus we love to get out and labor at Fort Rock Family Camp, building a new place for Christians to gather, away from normal and close to God.  And the Veteran’s Home needs people to show Christ’s love to lonely people.  What is your passion?

Mission Trips

Missions is something we try to do all the time, right here where we live.  This summer though we want to take our evangelism and servanthood with us.

Chicagoland, IL – Spring Break 09.  We will help Rob Hager and the team at Jacob’s Well with their church planting activities and community outreach.  It will include neighborhood canvassing, labor at the Caring Hands ministry, and more.

We are making available the trip to Haiti to do medical outreach, water supply rehabilitation, and church outreach with Bro. Francois Norcilus.  Let me know soon if you want to go on this popular trip.

This school year we plan to go back to Bangkok Thailand to help with an English language program.  The trip would take place early June.

Send Brad an email if these grab your attention and you want to know more.
