About Us
The Arnold Air Society (AAS) is a professional, honorary, service organization advocating the support of aerospace power. AAS is open to officer candidates in Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) and at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), and is formally affiliated with the Air Force Association (AFA).
Arnold Air Society’s history reaches back more than 50 years to its founding at the University of Cincinnati in 1947, and Silver Wings traces its legacy to the founding Angel Flight at the University of Omaha in 1952. Our organizations have been steadfast partners ever since, striving to build outstanding airmen and civilian leaders who have an understanding of the importance of aerospace power to our nation.
