Information about S.H.U.R. Mentoring:

The Student Helping Undergraduate Retention (S.H.U.R.) is a mentoring program that Alpha Pi Mu has organized to assist incoming I.E. students. Each mentor is responsible for helping these students find their way around the department, encourage them to get involved, providing them with tips of advice, and being available to answer their questions. Mentors attend the social events and the advising soiree so as to create a natural place for mentors to mesh with the incoming students. APM hopes that this strategy does not only promote retention, but form a tighter knit in the I.E. department.
