The paddles are a long standing tradition at the University of Arkansas Alpha Zeta Chapter. It is an excellent way for pledges to become acquainted with other pledges, members, alumni, faculty and distinguished administration.

The objective is to obtain enough signatures to fill your paddle and to individualize your paddle to fit your character. Each year at the initiation banquet in the spring, the paddles are due to the Chancellor to be judged. Based on creativity and the number of signatures, a winner is chosen and their membership dues are paid.
