How do you tell a book citation from a journal citation?

Book citations are often the simplest:

Perry, William. Forms of Ethical and Intellectual Development in the College Years: A Scheme. New York: Holt, Rinehart, and Winston, Inc., 1970.

You can see that the publisher and date and place of publication are included. Here is an example of what a book citation looks like in InfoLinks:

Journal citations usually include some elements that book citations don't have:

Tloczynski, Joseph. A preliminary study of opening-up meditation, college adjustment,and self-actualization. Psychological Reports v. 75 (Aug. '94, pt2) 449-56.
