The library staff at public service desks provides assistance in the use of our services and collections to patrons with disabilities. If you need more help, please submit requests for special accommodations to the Director of Public Services, Alberta Bailey (575-7795).

We encourage students with disabilities to register with the Campus Access Office (575-3104) to become eligible for the services provided by that office, such as research assistants.

To avoid the delays which may occur during peak service periods or to receive assistance with extensive research projects, we recommend making an appointment with a reference librarian by calling the Reference Department at (575-6645), or you may e-mail questions or requests to refer@uark.edu

A Visual Tek machine, which magnifies printed materials for the visually impaired, is available in the Audiovisual Department. Software to magnify text on a computer screen is available in the computer labs.
