Welcome to the University Of Arkansas Muslim Student Association Website.

Brief History about the Muslim Students' Association:

The Muslim Students Association (MSA) was established by dedicated Muslim students here at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas. The MSA is the symbol of unity, brotherhood, and sisterhood among Muslim students of different origin, nationality, and ethnicity, with a single belief and faith in one God (Allah-{SWT}), the last prophet Mohammad Sal'lalahu Wa'allehe Wasallam (may Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) and the last and final testament (The Qur'an).

MSA was formed by a group of students with a view:

(i) To help new Muslim students arriving on campus in adaptation to the new life and environment and to keep them in touch with people from their own faith.
(ii) To promote friendly relations with other religious groups present on campus.
(iii) To introduce Islam, its history, and values to Muslims and non-Muslims in order to clear the many misconceptions that exist about Islam today.

To fulfill these objectives MSA is actively involved in various religious, social and recreational activities such as organizing lectures/seminars, exhibitions, social gatherings, picnics and sports. Activities like these serve as a means of promoting friendship and understanding among community.

If you have any questions/comments about Islam or the MSA website please feel free to contact us.

I heard Allah's Apostle
(may peace be upon him) saying, Allah divided Mercy into one-hundred parts and He kept its ninety-nine parts with Him and sent down its one part on the earth, and because of that, its one single part, His creations are Merciful to each other, so that even the mare lifts up its hoofs away from its baby animal, lest it should trample on it."

Hadith, Narrated Abu Huraira
Sahih Bukhari (Book 73, Hadith No. 29)
