Hugh Lewis Farmstead
July 18-20, 2005- We will be
excavating at the Hugh Lewis Site—an early settler’s farmstead just
south of Elkins, AR. This work is a part of my
dissertation, which is focusing on historical memory and subsistence in
the antebellum Ozark Mountains. All of you are welcome. Cold drinks and snacks provided.
